Peer Support

About peer support

Peer support workers are people who have lived experiences with a variety of life’s challenges and have become skilled in helping others experiencing similar situations.

While therapists can also share in your lived experiences these individuals are NOT licensed therapist and do NOT offer clinical support.

Their personal experience with certain challenges provides peer support specialists with expertise that professional training cannot replicate. They offer mentorship, recovery tips, life tips, and ways to heal through some of life challenges as someone who has directly been there themselves.
