Eliminating Barriers to Healing.
Expanding access to healing while building the community power needed to transform mental health care.
Creating a World Without Barriers to Healing
Therapy Fund Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit transforming access to healing and behavioral healthcare.
Rooted in Washington and expanding our reach, we remove financial, cultural, and systemic barriers to healing while building the power of Black communities to shape the systems and resources that impact their well-being.
Our work goes beyond providing free therapy. We invest in the people who need care, the workforce that provides it, and the communities whose voices should influence how behavioral health resources are designed, funded, and delivered.
Through direct healing services, workforce development, youth and family programs, advocacy, and community-led solutions, we are building a future where historically excluded communities have greater access to healing and greater power over the conditions that shape their mental health.

You must identify as a member of the Black community and be facing economic hardship that is making it difficult for you to cover the full cost of therapy.
We recognize the entire diaspora including; those from the Caribbean, South America, Africa, Europe, and all parts of the world. We affirm all religions, genders, sexuality, and disabilities within our work. We center the most marginalized voices.

We are currently leaving this to your discretion. We ask that you do not abuse the funds as there are individuals who would not be able to receive therapy if it weren’t for the Therapy Fund Foundation. Many people utilizing the funds have been impacted by COVID-19 and are facing financial hardship. All funds are received through donations and distributed on a first come first serve basis.
If you can afford therapy sessions, we ask that you please consider donating to the therapy fund foundation or refrain from using the therapy fund.
